Don’t Wait!

So recently I had another one of those long days at work. Not long in actuality (it was only a four hour shift) but long due to my particular client I was working with who has behavioral issues. All day he was crabby and not listening to anybody. He was cussing at me, calling me very unfriendly names and to top it all off he started hitting the wall with a small metal pole. I honestly love my job and seeing the improvements and changes in the clients that we work with, but days like today are some of the best motivators for me to really start my own business.
What are some of the things that motivate you? Some other things that motivate me are my friends and family; they all mean the world to me. Also the possibility of being able to make a difference in the world, even if the difference seems really small. Something small can turn into something big; look at a little snowball rolling down a hill on a warm winter day. It starts out small but the longer it rolls down the hill, the bigger the snowball becomes. One other thing that motivates me is God. He motivates me to live His way of life and set the right example.

Why should we set goals? Have you ever accomplished something and then looking back felt really good about yourself? People should set goals because when you have accomplished them you can look back and see what you’ve overcome. You can see what you’ve changed about yourself to accomplish them. Goals should set you on the right path and lead you to what you want to do in your life. You see, with each goal you accomplish you build upon talents that interest you and grow to become a better you. Setting goals empowers you to face bigger hurdles and overcome them, especially with God’s help and positive determination.

What do you want to do with your life? Get motivated and start taking steps to accomplish your goals! I have started writing down a list of goals that I want to accomplish for Affirmations Coffee as well as a list of my own personal goals. I encourage you to come up with a list of four large goals that you want to accomplish in the coming year. Break each large goal up into smaller goals to make them more approachable and if need be break those into even smaller goals. Set dates you want to accomplish them by throughout the year so that you can conquer each large goal one at a time. I suggested setting four large goals. This gives you three months to accomplish each of the four goals.
Think about what really motivates you in life. Think of some goals and some things that you want to get done this year. Don’t wait for tomorrow, because tomorrow it might be too late!

You are awesome! God knows it and so should you!
