Hey, guess what?! You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! What comes to mind when you read that scripture in Phil 4:13? An idea that comes to me is that with Christ I can go outside of my comfort zone and do things that I wouldn’t normally feel comfortable doing.
What is something outside of your comfort zone? Asking someone to go out with you? Applying for a new job or volunteering? Throwing a party and cooking all of the food? Giving a speech? The list could go on and on since we are all different people and have different backgrounds and personalities. Actually, something outside of my comfort zone is taking the lead on things and taking charge. It’s not that I feel I can’t do it, but it is definitely not something I do on a regular basis. But that obviously needs to change if I am going to open and run a successful business. So while thinking about Phil 4:13 another scripture comes to mind which is Joshua 1:9: “Be strong and of good courage. Do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord, your God, is with you wherever you go.” God will help us and give us the courage to change (for the better) and go outside of our comfort zone. God is with us and gives us the strength to do anything we put our mind to, according to God’s will.
Something that pretty much everyone fears is change. We all get comfortable in our ways, e.g., who we talk to, our favorite restaurant, what food we order at our favorite restaurant, what kinds of books we like to read. This list could also go on and on because there are so many things that we all just get comfortable with. So I would like to challenge you over the next month to go outside of your comfort zones and change your life. Even changing one little thing today can make the biggest difference tomorrow. Make the choice to go outside of your comfort zone and move forward in life. Leave comments below about what you’ve done to go outside of your comfort zone and to change. Be strong. Be confident. Be bold! Go outside of your comfort zone!
You are awesome! God knows it and so should you!
