Responsibility means to promise or to make a commitment to something or someone. Do you take responsibility? We are responsible for what happens and what course and quality of life we have, and this goes for when we have spouses and children also. I think when we man up and take control we are the ones in control of our quality of life when we make choices to change or stay the same in a situation. We are also responsible for our friends as well as the community and society we live in. We can have a powerful impact on the world if we man up and take responsibility!
Gal 6:4 says”but let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another”, what this verse is saying is that we each are responsible for our own conduct, we are responsible for ourselves. We have to take responsibility! Do we take responsibility for the frame of mind that we have? We need to man up and take responsibility!
Exert the responsibility to take control of your feelings! You control your feelings, they don’t control you!
1st chronicles 11:9 “So David went on and became great, and the lord of hosts was with him.” David’s relationship with God made all the difference. David framed his life around God. We need to take responsibility for our relationship with God. We need to take responsibility for our own spiritual life.
What is the difference between a boy and a man? A man will step up and take responsibility for the job God has called him to do. Have you taken up the mantle of doing the job you were called to do?
We also need to man up and take responsibility when we fall short and make a mistake. We need to grab the bull by the horns! Make sacrifices for the people in our lives, we must love the world as Christ and God do.
Rise to the challenge and take a risk! Do your fears disable you? Do you ever try to get out of responsibility or taking risks? Fear gets in the way of stepping up to do what God has called us to do. “If you could kick the person that was most responsible for your life, you wouldn’t sit down for a week” ~Teddy Roosevelt
1st Corinthians 16:13 “watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.” Brave means to make a man of yourself. Show yourself as a man. Act like men, be couragous, grow in strength! Rise to the challenge!
You are awesome! God knows it, and so should you!
